This is a really good book that I highly recommend! The characters are interesting and it easily kept my interest. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer! I would think the story was going in one direction and then it would end up somewhere else. Very entertaining.
The story kept my interest all the way through with believable strong characters ... whether it's the likable ones or the ones you want to hate. A lot of things happen in the book, but do want to warn you there is a cliffhanger. The book goes right into the second book THe Vampire Prince. This book is written in various points of view, but it flows nicely between chapters.
I loved this book. Character backstories were detailed enough for you to invest in their development. Multiple point of views are usually tricky to implement, however, Michelle Madow did it with finesse. I did hope for a wee bit more of Jacen and Annika together, but I'm thinking their relationship will be very interesting and entertaining in book 2. Can't wait to read it. **Did not have any errors that I noticed. Either there are none, or the book was too good to notice them**
The only grouch that I have about this book is that it is a short read.
Is it another take on the story of Romeo and Giuliette in a vampire setting?
The characters are very, very interesting and well developed knowing what they want from the very beginning. This makes the story line different and unique if one wishes to compare to other vampire books.
I enjoyed reading `The Vampire Wish` and I find that the Author, Michelle Madow's writing is not only able to draw one into the story but also to keep the reader wanting more. Awesome! An amazing read!
This was my first vampire book but I get the usual gist, oh no plz don't leave me vampire person, no I must, an d a whole lot of othesr stupid things, until twilight came. THIS SERIES IS THE NEW TWILIGHT!!!!!!!! You have to agree. It has a great plot, it's different, and there are great characters. I didn't want to put the book down. I was sooo sad when I finished it (. But, I saw that she said the secend book is coming out in july. Commence happy dance. I also recomend another series if you want to read more books written by Michelle Meadows it's the Elementals. You won't be disappointed. So now that tou've read this, WHAT ARE YOU WHATING FOR, GO SCROLL UP AND BUY THE BOOK SO YOU CAN EXPERIENCE THE NEW TWILIGHT!!!!!! Sorry about that, got too excited but, just go by the book. This book was literally nothing like I expected it to be! I expected a hokey version of vampires - much like Twilight. I was genuinely surprised and welcomed this new world built by Michelle Madow.

Annika was on vacation with her family and they were attacked by vampires, killed, and she was kidnapped and taken to the Vail to live like a blood slave. There is a Vampire Queen, and Vampire Prince, and all kinds of drama going on! I loved the darkness of Queen Laila, she has a back story that I'm not certain of, but I would love to know more. Jacen, the Prince, is a confused dude, and I am hoping for more of his story and development in book two. There is also a human witch on hand of the Queen, and her role is a tad wonky... I'm not sure whether to trust her or not! I think that is what I loved most about this book.... not knowing who you cant trust yet, and seeing where it gets you! With a few twists and turns along the way, it's a fun little ride, and leaves you with a huge cliffhanger for book two, the Vampire Prince which releases August 3rd!

A well written, clean YA romance that has enough details, action and plot twists to keep you (adults, too!) reading well past bed time! Michelle’s writing style allows me to envision the Vale and the Vampire Palace as if I was there in person. I found myself hating the vampires, cheering for Annika, and hopeful for a romance between her and Jacen. Vampires, witches, wolf-shifters and human blood slaves… what more could you ask for in a book! I loved this book and I'm not a YA anymore! This captivating, well written book ends with a cliffhanger, so you'll want to get Book 2, The Vampire Prince, immediately! I'm hooked on this series!
